Dekus are also called "dummy fairies". "YMS" is short of Yumemashougun. Dekus serve Yumemashougun.
590 years ago (10 years after War of the Minions), the Grappler asked YS-12 prototype Deku to stop the Dreamdiver from sending reincarnation energy to past. Though the Prototype's memory forgot it soon, 590 years later, death wish of the Grappler reverberated with Rei Lightbringer, who then had serious mental breakdown by knowing her true identity. Then tons of mass-produced models, mindless copies of the Prototype (which was concealed inside Mumin Glenn together with Mujinkun). Rei understood the dekus were willing to fight at her side - to revenge Sumeragi. So Rei decided to revolt as Yumemashougun the traitor.
Mass-produced Dekus are in fact possessed by wills of past fairies, which arrive through time loop. Future fairies, who are totally ignorant of such fact, are frantically fighting back (without knowing that they themselves look like Minions of Muscle to past fairies).
Dekus have wooden face. Dekus have no intelligence at all, and only thing they can vocalize are annoying laughter. Their hairs (?) are green, and hairdryer-like ears (?) which resemble some anime robot's, and sailor clothes are directly stitched to deku's body.
Dekus appear by mass, can freely fly in the sky with jet engines in their backs, and attack enemies by charging or by releasing energy rays from their mouths.
For viewer's purpose, those in the sky are called Sky dekus (who oppose Ginji in the game), while those on the ground are called Land dekus. Land dekus use mops as weapons.

Dekus began appearing all over the fairy kingdom since several months ago. While most people are fleeing amok, Nusumi has decided to catch them as she can, saying "I will really profit by selling them to girl-doll lovers".

About drawing :
Needless to say, dekus resemble THAT robot.
You can find tons (smile) of references once you surf the Net a little.
About sailor's clothes, while Land dekus tend to wear long-sleeved ones while Sky dekus tend to wear semi-sleeved ones, let dekus wear long-sleeved ones if you cannot decide.

Needless to say, Deku is a hateful parody of HMX-12 Multi who appears in some game called To Heart.
Initially, they were bigger and looked totally different, but one time I decided them to look this way (laughter).
